Harold Corke, the PhD of plant genetics in university of science and technology in Israel, is the professor in the department of agriculture, food and nutrition science, college of life science, University of Hong Kong and also the director of the American association of cereal chemists (AACC). He is mainly engaged in the research about functional food, food analysis and food safety inspection. He is versed in the fields such as the genetic modification of starch, physical and chemical modification, functional applications, the health and function of traditional Chinese medicinal plant, etc. Professor Corke held the post of the reviewer of international journals from more than 20 countries and published at least 200 high-level papers, among them 130 papers from SCI and 20 books. The total quoted rate were no less than 2500, especially, the index of individual paper can reach to 253, related to this , he is the scientist ranking the top 1% in the agriculture and food (according to the statistics of ISI Essential Science Indicators).He was employed in hubei university of technology as Chutian Scholars Distinguished Professor in 2011.
